The Education Foundation welcomes volunteers! We need help at events like Skokie’s Backlot Bash where we often have a booth and a dunk tank. We are a volunteer-run Board of Directors whose members bring experience and expertise in fundraising, program development, strategic planning, education, budgeting, finance, business, marketing and other areas to the organization.
We invite you to lend your time, talents and energy to The Education Foundation. We have many ways for you to get involved!
- Join the Board of Directors – bring your ideas to a meeting, talk with the directors and become a leader! Foundation meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the D219 Administrative Offices (7700 Gross Point Road in Skokie). Please call 847-626-3957 if you plan to attend.
- Take part in our Education-to-Careers program, such as Ask the Expert or Job Shadow Career Exploration Day, where you will share your expertise, mentor a student, or sponsor an internship. Learn more about these programs at www.niles219.org/education-careers.
- Volunteer with us at Skokie’s Backlot Bash or other special events – we have a booth or table at many local festivals and events.
- Join the alumni mailing list to find ways to get more involved.
